Earlier last month, we embarked on an extraordinary journey to Australia as part of the Innovate UK Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) delegation. Over two transformative weeks, we traveled across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, engaging with leading organizations, institutions, and policymakers in the energy and technology sectors.
Our visit included inspiring interactions with QUT (Queensland University of Technology), ARM Hub (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing), UNSW, Invest Victoria, CSIRO, EPCA – Electric Power Conversions Australia, the Western Australia Government, and Australian Vanadium Limited, among others. Each meeting underscored the immense potential for transformative UK-Australia collaborations in battery energy storage systems (BESS), clean energy, and advanced technologies.
We are deeply thankful to Innovate UK, Exemplas, and the organizing team, including Benjy Lee, for curating this impactful program. Special thanks also to Richard Carey-Evans, Neil Trivedi, and St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd for their unwavering support. These engagements have set the stage for pioneering partnerships aimed at building a more sustainable and energy-resilient future.
Australia’s dynamic energy landscape presents significant opportunities for innovation and collaboration. The insights we gained and the connections we established hold immense promise for advancing our shared goals in renewable energy, decarbonization, and technological breakthroughs. The delegation also included some of the brightest UK innovators such as Auquan, Minviro, HalioGen Power, Blue Dolphin (UK) Ltd, High Temperature Material Systems, EQONIC, Rovjok, ThinkClock, and Battery Labs, creating a powerful collective to drive impactful solutions. This is just the beginning. Stay tuned as we continue to explore these exciting partnerships and bring transformative energy solutions to life. Together, we are shaping the future of sustainable energy innovation. 🌏⚡
