Ipswich, UK — 8 April 2026 — Volador Energy, a pioneering cleantech company redefining battery energy storage systems (BESS), has been named a Regional Finalist for Green Start-Up of the Year, East of England, at the UK StartUp Awards 2026.
The UK StartUp Awards — voted the UK's favourite business awards — shine a spotlight on the most innovative and impactful early-stage businesses across the country. The awards celebrate bold founders and the startups transforming industries, communities, and the planet.
This year's competition attracted a record 2,000+ entries, with only a small fraction progressing to the regional finals — making Volador Energy's selection a standout achievement.
"Being recognised as a regional finalist at the UK StartUp Awards is a powerful validation of our mission and the progress we've made. Our focus has always been on building battery systems that are safer, smarter, and genuinely sustainable — and we're thrilled to be acknowledged among the UK's most promising early-stage companies." — Sachin Ramesh, Founder & CEO, Volador Energy
Volador Energy has developed a proprietary, modular, and repairable BESS platform using dielectric liquid immersion cooling — a breakthrough approach that improves thermal safety, extends battery lifespan, and enables individual cell-level maintenance without system downtime. The technology is chemistry-agnostic, supporting a wide range of cylindrical and prismatic cell formats.
